Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey signed Executive Order No. 107, directing all residents to stay at home until further notice. However, he has also designated much of the pharmaceutical and biotech industry as “essential,” enabling Distek’s manufacturing operation to remain up and running to service the needs of our global customers.
In anticipation of this and to protect our production staff and our customers, we instituted a work from home policy, restricted all customer visits and air travel.
Although we cannot guarantee 100% of our supply chain will be unaffected due to individual state and federal restrictions, we are not currently experiencing any critical part shortages. The current lead-time for our instruments is five weeks, within the industry norm of four to six weeks.
Onsite services present another challenge which is influenced by several factors: the proximity of your location to a service hub, your required date of service, and your policy on allowing outside visitors into your facility. Due to the restriction on air travel, our field-based service team is really coming through for our customers and making the commitment to drive to where the needs are, traveling as much as 12+ hours by car to get to a customer site. We cannot guarantee we can meet all your service needs, but we are doing our best to support you. For the latest service availability, it is best to use one of our two support emails: support@distekinc.com for repair services and validations@distekinc.com for validation service requests.
Thank you for your continued confidence in Distek during this unprecedented event. Look for future updates as the situation requires.
